Journal: Fear Assets Obstacles; 16 Line poem

Often times when I think of fear, assets, and obstacles the next thing that comes to mind for me is risk and reward. I feel they play hand in hand. Many people fear taking risk and in between risks are obstacles. Assets is what helps you get that overall reward. The more you know about your path in life and what you want to do the less of a risk or fear you'll be dealing with. Finding out the different angles of these obstacles and risks that become apart of your life seem like they're a heavy burden, that's only if you let them get the best of you.

Since I've gotten out of the military I have come to realize we don't live in a world were its about what you know. We live in a world and a country were it's about who you know. Without representation it's extremely rough to make it. Of course everyone thinks they're worth more then what they get paid and they always deserve better. Truth be told adversity is you're only friend and you just have to keep pushing through the bullshit. Nothing is on the level and if you think it is you've already failed yourself. As a person there are certain times where you have to be selfish for what you want. The percentage of people who get things they want by going about it the ethical way is very small.

Many things around us may be represented by corruption and collusion but I would rather stay the course and wait it out and know within myself how I got to destination. I didn't jump in the taxi and not pay my fare. They only way to control these obstacles is with patients and keeping your mind body and soul focused on other positive things that will improve self when getting to that destination in which I've put the ultimate sacrifice into.

Poem: When I could Fly

Eighteen years young
The green light meant Go!
Shuffling back and forth for the door
My fourth time in a plane

For this time I was exiting while in flight
Not going to lie my belly could feel the fright
Surrounded by 60 impulsive americans
Looking for our first of many thrills

Getting to the door you looked down
The clouds caught you
The green chute opened
From there you were just an american angel falling

It was winter but felt like summer on the ground
Head full of sweat and heart jumping
Gathered up you gear on you back it went
Ran to the flight line for three more rounds :-}
